WindRose PRO directly reads the
ISC3ST (ISC3 Short Term) meteorological file, both in free and in card ASCII formats.
ISC3ST is an atmospheric dispersion model belonging to the list of alternative models of the US-EPA. The user may select the directional variable to analyse, wind speed by default, but also ambient temperature, mixing height and others. The user must also select the file format between free and card (see the
ISC3ST User's Guide for details).
Since ISC3ST uses
flow vector, which is the opposite of wind direction, the user might want to rotate it by 180 degrees before analysing the data. The selection to rotate the wind of 180 degrees will modify the options,
THE USER MUST REMEMBER TO DESELECT SUCH OPTIONS WHEN IT IS NO MORE NEEDED!
Dates and times are stored together the selected variables, therefore it is possible to filter data according to years, months, days of the week, hours or day/night hours.
ISC3ST meteorological files must have ISC or MET extension.

An example of ISC3ST meteorological input file is contained under the directory Sample of the installation path, and is called isc3st_sample.met. In order to load this file the
CARD format must be selected. Other examples can be found in the US-EPA web site.
After loading the data, the total number of data and the total number of valid data, together with the percentage, appear in the lower right corner of the main mask. The number of valid data is determined using the
filtering options specified by the user.
